Founding Meeting

The ALADIN - ALpe Adria Danube INitiative - Network founded in 2002 represents a longstanding and closely collaborating group of universities and associated centers of excellence focusing on realizing the benefits of eBusiness and enabling eTechnologies in a cross-border context.


It was formally created by signing a Letter of Intent in Ljubljana, Slovenia on October 23, 2002 by Dr. Paolo Inchingolo, Professor and Deputy Rector, University of Trieste; Dr. Željko Knez, Professor and Acting Rector, University of Maribor; Dr. Pero Lučin, Professor and Vice Rector, University of Rijeka; Dr. Friedrich M. In the last decade, the ALADIN group was growing and engaging in many aspects of eBusiness teaching and research, as well as joint projects.
